Painted Tongue (Salpiglossis)

We can't get over how gorgeous these annuals are! Painted Tongue's trumpet-shaped blooms burst in a warm rainbow of colors including light and dark fuchsia, oranges, yellows, pinks and purples. The stripes on its petals make you feel that you are falling into the flower! It grows 2-4 feet tall with 2" blooms. 

Painted Tongue is a petunia relative native to Chile. 

Planting Instructions: Plant Painted Tongue seeds outdoors in full sun after all danger of frost has passed, 1/8-1/4" deep. Or start indoors 10 weeks before last expected frost, planted 1/8-1/4" deep. Transplant before they become rootbound. Seeds take 1-2 weeks to germinate.

Seed Saving Instructions: Collect Painted Tongue seeds when seedheads are brown and fully dry. Store seeds in a cool, dark and dry place.
