Packed with organic nitrogen for a supercharged early boost, our Early Spring Fertilizer for lawns provides slow feeding to eliminate quick growth spurts and encourage steady turf growth. Early Spring Lawn Fertilizer is fortified with Protilizer® Seed & Plant Activator, a 100% organic plant supplement for superior soil and root health. Protilizer® promotes more efficient water and nutrient absorption for stronger grass roots. This fertilizer is made with zero phosphorus to reduce algae in nearby streams, lakes and waterways.
For Established Lawns: Apply in early spring at a rate of 3 lbs. of product per 1,000 square feet. Apply evenly with a calibrated spreader. 3 lbs. of this product per 1,000 square feet is equivalent to 0.63 lbs. of nitrogen per 1,000 square feet.
For Newly Seeded Lawns: Rake fertilizer into the upper inch of the soil before seeding. Water until the seed germinates and establishes. Continue with the remaining Natural Alternative® 5-Part Lawn Care System.
