Over 100 photographs by famed photographer J.C. Allen of fieldwork in rural America during the 1920s through the 1940s, including planting, tilling, harvesting, and more. Includes shots of threshing, corn shelling, milling, and hay stacking. Horses, mules, oxen, vintage tractors, and stream engines provided the power back when rural life was the norm. Many of these photos have never been published.
